Apollo has learned some new tricks! The video above shows him going up for a treat, and twirling while I dangle it above his head (we’re still working on that one). Also shown is Apollo shaking for a treat, which he learned in seriously one day. He’s pretty amazing! We have been doing laundry up a storm (although still not making too much of a dent in our laundry closet….). We went to a really cool concert last night – the LA Phil conducted by John Williams, with special guests Martin Scorsese and Stephen Speilberg. The first half was a tribute to the music of Bernard Hermann, and the second half was music from the Speilberg/Williams collaborations, with the orchestra playing music to the movie clips! Very cool.

We have also been doing a lot of cleaning, including the patio outside. Sunday when I was sweeping I saw the following insect, and freaked out just a little:

Yes, that is a black widow spider. We promptly went out and got spray to kill our little darling.
This weekend I go to Florida for Jennifer’s Bridal shower (yay!) and then on to Savannah for a “girls weekend.” I am very excited Steven got a new toy- a UMPC (Ultra mobile PC). It’s a computer that is 7 inches wide and can play movies, games, surf the net, etc. in addition to being our GPS. I’m gonna take it with me this weekend and try it out!
