Smorgasbord
This blog is a big smorgasbord to get you up to date. The pictures above and below are of the Getty Museum here in Los Angeles, which we visited the other weekend with a family from church. Those are their kids on the rock below, and they must be the cutest children I’ve ever known to date
The exhibit we particularly wanted to see was “Icons from Sinai,†which featured iconography from a monastery at the base of Mount Sinai in Egypt. Above is an example of an icon of the prophet Elijah. The exhibit was a really amazing collection of rare icons of Eastern Christianity from as early as 500 AD.
Above is a picture of the latest acquisition for my car- it’s a little air freshener with two little fishies floating in water! I named them Flipper and Nemo (I know, highly original).
Below are a few pictures of Apollo with his new haircut- a little shorter for the spring
I just got back from the South last night. Saturday Jenn had a bridal shower, and then Dana and I whisked her away to Savannah for her “bachelorette weekend.†It was really like an extended sleepover in a different city with a spa thrown in, but people seemed confused so that was the simplest explanation. It was a lot of fun, and I love my girls!
I’ll leave you with a picture of Apollo with a new toy, which he disemboweled within 2 hours.
