Happy Independence Day
After our fantastic concert with fireworks at the Bowl on Monday, the only thing about Wednesday that made it particularly special is that we didn’t have to go to work J (And yes, that’s special enough!) They outlawed fireworks (that’s right, ALL fireworks) in LA because of the severe drought and high fire danger.Â
We went looking for furniture to celebrate our nation’s independence, and were pretty successful. We wanted to buy an entertainment center (which we found) and a bookcase/curio/china cabinet of some kind (which we did not find). We also found the comforter set for the guest bedroom, which we bought even though we don’t have the actual bed yet J After visiting Chick-Fil-A (slight detour but it was worth it), we headed back in the hottest part of the day to pack some more things at the apartment. We got back just in time to char some meat on the grill before it got dark.Â
While it may sound like I’m complaining, we are actually very happy with the way things are shaping up with the house. Once we’re in, it will be great! We have a few weeks to get everything perfect before Ruth, Michelle, and Garrett come to visit JÂ
Here’s a picture of the bedspread:
