Ruth, Michelle, and Garrett came and had (I think) a good time in Los Angeles. They did all the touristy stuff (Rodeo Drive), as well as some local things (Hollywood Bowl concert).  They are driving up to San Francisco for a few days before flying back to Florida.  Steven and I were able to spend the weekend with them, which was great.  Saturday we went to the resort town of Avalon on Catalina Island, which is Southern California’s version of the Italian island Capri.  It was just lovely and was perfect weather.  Yesterday we went to Malibu and Santa Monica, walked on the pier and boardwalk.  All in all, we had a great time visiting with them and hope they come back soon!
