Instruments

Click the above image for video! Keep in mind that this is the second time in years I’ve played the flute, first in years for clarinet, and third for trumpet :)

This week has already been filled with instruments. Yesterday was the first day of the recorder class I’ll be teaching, with almost 150 students total. I spent this morning doing a recruitment at another school where recorder, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and trombone classes will start in two weeks. Tomorrow is the first day of classes at a private school with violin, cello, flute, clarinet, trumpet and trombone. The other two schools are both public schools part of the LA Unified School District. I am feeling really fulfilled being able to do my own thing on the oboe a little, teach a little, do some errands… it’s turning out to be great! Tomorrow night I fly out to Florida and get back on Tuesday.
