Happy Easter!

Today we celebrated Resurrection Sunday, the day that Jesus was raised from the grave for all of us! Our official Easter picture is above – Apollo was very interested in the Easter basket that the Easter Bunny brought! Heather came over for Easter dinner/lunch (we call it linner). It was lovely to see her again, and were glad to have her help us eat our huge Easter ham

Today we went to the mall to pick up a few things, and look who we saw! Colm Meany, the actor who played Chief O’Brian on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. We stood next to him in line in the Apple store

We have had some lovely days so far this week. The picture above is another camellia arrangement I did including some more varieties from our friends’ yard.
ATTENTION FAMILY! We have recently purchased some new software for my computer which is a family tree program. I would like to become the unofficial genealogist for the families I belong to, and I hope you will all help me! The program, called Reunion, is great – in addition to facts and dates about people I can include pictures or even video for each person. I’ve started talking to people about their family lines, but you could also help by emailing me any special memories you have or that you want to make sure are included. Once I have the basics in the system I can upload it to the web and that will be an easy way for you to all check that I’ve got the information right, and to let me know what you would like to be included.

Springtime

It’s really starting to seem like Springtime here – everything is blooming and my allergies are going crazy! I have fun putting together little arrangements of the various flowers blooming in the yard – the one above is of two kinds of Camellias.
The picture below is just something silly – me, Jessi and Carolyn from the LA Phil Holiday Party doing a kind of Charlie’s Angels impression (at least, I think that’s what it was!)
