This weekend I finished the production of Jekyll and Hyde the Musical that had been going on for a couple of weeks – I had a great time, but am glad to be done. Thanks to Steven and Jessi for coming and supporting me! I have applied to several upcoming auditions, and have heard back from the Orlando Philharmonic that I have a preliminary audition on September 5. That will definitely keep me busy.
We saw the X-Files: I want to Believe movie over the weekend as my reward for finishing the show, which I enjoyed. I do have to admit that it wasn’t quite as grand or epic as movies usually are – it felt more like an extended episode. I still liked it, and it is a must for any X-Files fans. It works well as a stand-alone movie though, so you could certainly enjoy it even if you aren’t familiar with the series.
To celebrate Heather’s birthday (yay!), Heather, Dave (her husband) and I went to see a matinee today of Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D. It was goofy and slightly ridiculous, but super cool because of the 3D and overall very cute and fun. Good times!
Be thinking good thoughts for Steven, as this week and next week are bound to be busy at work with the Olympics right around the corner.
