Yikes, I’m really behind in blogging! After a lovely Thanksgiving with Steven, I flew to Jacksonville to play weekend pops with the JSO. It was a lot of fun, I was happy for some unexpected family time, and I got to have Mom’s Thanksgiving leftovers!

After returning to LA, I was thrust immediately into gigs, driving to and from Santa Barbara to play 2nd oboe on Messiah with the Choral Society. As we never spent much time in Santa Barbara, Steven and I spent the weekend I had the concerts in SB at an adorable hotel – The Upham. It was a Victorian hotel, the oldest in Santa Barbara, and was walking distance from the main street with all the cute shops. The town was very festive at night:

The gigs continued the next week, finding me from Torrance to Palm Desert. I am really happy to say that I have been very busy, between playing and teaching (privately and school), and I feel like this has been a really wonderful Fall. I’m still working out having this kind of schedule weekly, but it’s a good problem to have

The exciting news is that Steven and I are driving, with Apollo, to Florida on Thursday! We are really excited about the road trip, getting to see the country, spending time together and bringing Apollo to visit family. We hope to blog on the road, so check back for updates!
