Trip to Disneyland!
Our “Valentine’s Day” weekend was a week late, but we celebrated at the happiest place on earth
The picture above is after dinner at Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney.
Steven and I had a fun trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. This was the first time we had been to DisneyLAND, but of course we know DisneyWORLD in Florida very well. Disneyland is much smaller, with some new attractions as well as some of the old classics. There are two parks, Disneyland and California Adventure.
We spent Saturday at Disneyland, and hit the ground running when they opened! We were thrilled to not have to wait in long lines (longest was maybe 30 minutes) and so had the chance to see more.
Victoria and Sleeping Beauty’s castle – much smaller than I expected in person!
It’s a small world

One of the new things we enjoyed seeing was an update to the Pirates of the Caribean ride and Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer’s island. Now, in addition to the old stuff, there are references to the movies with Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Davy Jones. We thought going through Davy Jones’ image projected onto air was pretty cool….
We saw a live demonstration of ASIMO, the robot by Honda which was also very cool.
Sunday we went to California Adventure Park, which has more rides/rollercoasters than the Disneyland park.
Picture of the “California wilderness” and their very own Italian vineyard with wine tasting and a restaurant.
One of the fun things were tours of the Mission Tortilla factory and the Boudin San Francisco Sour Dough factory. (You know, we just love bread!)
