Jessi came over that night and we watched the Hitchcock movie “Rebecca” and drank tea, it was just lovely. Steven brought me home flowers, rocky road ice cream, and the shirt above that I love!
Thursday night Rachel, Josh and Rosalie kept Steven company for the LA Phil concert. I was playing 3rd oboe in Strauss’ “Till Eulenspeigel,” which was really tricky but of course an amazing experience.

There are some scary fires right now burning out of control here in LA, but right now we are fine and are in no danger. There is a lot of smoke and ash in the air but for us that is as close as it has come. We pray that these deadly fires are controlled quickly with as little loss of life and property as possible.
Happy belated birthday Victoria! Someday I would love to come and out and visit you guys. And I would absolutely love to hear you play. Big hugs across the miles.
