I had an audition for the Pacific Symphony on Thursday in Orange County. I didn’t get advanced, but I felt good about the way I played for the most part. I am moving on towards another audition in Kansas City, MO in two weeks. Apollo’s new pastime is to sit with me in my studio while I practice and look out the window. He is so cute, and always whines when he sees birds because he wants them to play with him!

Saturday we went to the LA County Fair for the opening day, and had a lot of fun.

We have been trying to walk more, except of course when our mountain is on fire. The last time we walked up above Brand Park we saw a deer! Here it is in a picture, lower left corner.

I am finally getting around to putting sound and video clips on my website. Here is a video from my recital in June playing the slow movement of the Mozart oboe concerto.
