Steven’s birthday
Sep 13th 2009VictoriaNews and Updates
This past Friday, September 11, was Steven’s 29th birthday. To celebrate, we met some friends at Buca di Beppo at Universal City Walk for dinner and I baked a cake.
We had a great time and appreciated the people that came to spend time with us. My present for Steven was a little glass dome display for the Roman coin we purchased in Vienna. (above)
The night before it turned out that I played with the LA Phil again for their last concert of the Hollywood Bowl season. I was pulled in last minute to play 2nd english horn on the Berlioz Requiem, which was mind-blowing with its off-stage brass and 4 timpani players. I was thrilled to help out and feel very blessed by all the playing opportunities the summer offered.
Today after church we went to a dark scifi type store in Burbank to see our friend Nicole, a bassoon player from the Vienna trip who was signing a new Halloween CD. While we were there we also were thrilled to meet and have a CD signed by Bear McCreary, the composer of Battlestar Galactica!
So say we all!
