End of November

Here are pictures and the post I didn’t get around to posting on November 22.

Steven’s parents have been here helping us with the house, and Apollo and Fresco are thick as thieves!

We are preparing to move into the new house and am surprised daily with the beautiful color changes in the neighborhood, and our own front yard!

Victoria was asked to sub on the National Tour of Beauty and the Beast in San Diego, and had a great time reading the show.

Victoria’s Uncle Mark and Aunt Amber came to LA for a conference and they had dinner together in Santa Monica. It was so great to see them!

HUGE news is that thanks to assistance from Steven’s parents, we are now homeowners! We closed at the end of last week on a house in Burbank, and are planning renovations to take place over the next couple of weeks. We are so excited to have a place of our own to call home for the new baby.

This past week Victoria spent two nights in San Diego on a last minute gig. She was called to play oboe and english horn in Disney’s musical Beauty and the Beast, subbing with the national touring company. It was a great experience and so much fun, definitely a great surprise.

Victoria’s birthday and chamber recital

English Trifle for dessert!

English Trifle for dessert!

Here I am, a 29 year old, writing this blog :) My parents and I celebrated my birthday a couple of ways. Since we were giving a chamber recital the Sunday after my birthday, we needed to have the dress rehearsal on the day of my birthday, Thursday. A couple of the fantastic musicians involved in the recital came over to join us for some cake!

That evening we went to dinner at a Scottish restaurant called Tam O’Shanter Inn on recommendation of our friend Darryl – we had a great time!

Sunday’s chamber recital went really well, we had an enthusiastic crowd and a fun mix of music. Here are a few pictures from the event:
